Diane Von Furstenberg invited me to Venice to receive a DVF Award from the Diller-Von Furstenberg Family Foundation. It’s a cash prize that is going to the Committee for the First Amendment which I relaunched last Oct 1st. We’re almost a year old and have been very busy helping the entertainment industry writ large (the committee includes crews, agents, managers, and TV news hosts like Jimmy Kimmel) stand strong against the authoritarian attempt to takeover of our country. We must at all costs not voluntarily concede to fascists. There is strength in numbers and thousands of people have signed on as members. When they come for one of us, they’ll have to deal with all of us.
