I speak for the people of Nashville and the State of Tennessee - we cannot imagine a world without Dolly. Stay tuned for the PARTY we will throw in her honor, once we accept the fact she has moved on to the biggest stage in the sky! Right now, we are all REELING at the loss, but like Dolly would insist - THE SHOW MUST GO ON!

Thank you, Jane, for helping Dolly into the movie business!

The best tribute is to donate to https://imaginationlibrary.com/ - to continue DOLLY's work to donate +300 MILLION books to childhood literacy!

Inspired by her father’s inability to read and write Dolly started her Imagination Library in 1995 for the children within her home county. Today, her program spans five countries and gifts millions of free books each month to children around the world.

At least one TN state senator...has proposed legislation naming Sept. 25 as “9 to 5” Day, in honor of Ms. Parton’s famous anthem.

Beautiful tribute, Jane - as only you can give. She was clearly both a colleague and a dear friend. Losing Dolly is a huge loss for this crazy world.

🤍 P!nk pays loving tribute to Dolly Parton, who passed away at 80.

When P!nk Introduced Dolly at her induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022, she called Dolly one of the best songwriters & storytellers ever born.

“She painted a picture with her words — & colored it in with that angelic voice.”

She reassures us in that loving tone, that she can see the light of a clear blue morning — and we will all be okay.”🤍

Dolly’s passing and the sadness over our loss will last a long time, but her movies, songs, kindness, humility, and generosity will keep her in our happy memories forever.❤️🙏🏻

And Jane, I wanted to share with you that when you made The Dollmaker, it moved me so deeply that I never ever forgot your performance or the one from Levon Helm. They were so deeply and profoundly moving. Thank you for sharing that profound grief. I heard you tell how Dolly helped you sort out the character that you played. Blessings to her and to you!

Thank you beloved Jane, I know your soul feels the depth of hers and that Dolly is embracing today all those Nepalese and Tibetan people who just joined her. How fortunate for them that she is there to welcome them home. 💖

I've never been a fan of country music but I loved Dolly. She was just so obviously kind, good and sweet. If there is a heaven hope she is sitting with her husband maybe having a mint julip.
