Thank you for your update. One comment regarding Dolly Parton’s parents. Her father, if I recall correctly, was a sharecropper so that may have had a bearing on what they might have bought from a food store. Hard to tell. Perhaps there’s a local history keeper in the area - Dolly would have been born in 1946. Thank you, finally for all that you do for so many different people who pay such a high price to the big boys’ corporations extracting what they want from the poorest communities. Much love to you.

The LNG’s still come into South Boston harbor to drop their loads off at the tanks along I93. For us as kids sailing our sm boats in the harbor they were a terrible threat. You had to get outta their way fast or get swamped. The oil on the water was worst. Couldn’t put your feet in bc the black crude was really hard to remove. Little stories compared to the damage along the shore lines of So Boston Dorchester Quincy and Hull. Even the pic of Ho Chin Minh by Corita Kent on one of the holding tanks couldn’t compensate for the oil sludge and destruction of the harbor shores. This was in the 70’s and 80’s when I was a kid. Wonder if it ever got cleaned up?
Asking as many questions as I could while I could was one of the many enjoyable reasons for spending time with my grandmother. I wish I’d had the same opportunity with my mom who died far too young but my sister and I loved hearing stories from her in the time we had.
There are people you miss every single day for the rest of your life, sometimes it’s not even who you think it will be.
